The Buddy Masters Program

GOO’d Day, GOO Farmers!

Today, the anticipated Buddy Master’s program begins its life as an infant. This post is going to break down what the Buddy Master’s program is, and why it will be a versatile tool for the long-term growth of MicroBuddies™.

What is (are?) Buddy Masters?

At a high level, the Buddy Masters Program is a way to rapidly onboard new users to the game. Users will be able to send MicroBuddies to a smart contract (for rewards, eventually) that approved Buddy Masters will be able to operate/send buddies from (for rewards, eventually).

Each buddy sent to the contract is assigned a tier based on the following criteria:

• Tier 1: Gen 10 or better, at least 3 replications available.
• Tier 2: Gen 20 or better, at least 2 replications available.
• Tier 3: Anything worse than tier 1–2, including barren buddies.

Demonstrating the Buddy Master’s Power

It’s important to note that we are very, very early in the NFT gaming space. Being a pioneer means we are the ones tearing down barriers and innovating new solutions, like Buddy Masters. In return, we earn provenance, an invaluable benefit in this space. In essence, MicroBuddies ages like a fine wine.

To kick off the Buddy Master’s program and showcase its potential, we need (at least) 350 tier 1 and/or tier 2 buddies donated to the contract address: 0x6dCbA000866060971D3e0bC820DC7DDCBD90B597

We will use the 350 buddies to collaborate with another project in the space, which will give hundreds of users, many of them very crypto-savvy, access to, and a motive to, play MicroBuddies. We believe collaborations like this one will be extremely beneficial towards growing and expanding MicroBuddies, and returning value to you guys, the holders.

Buddies sent just need to be good enough for a new player to get their feet wet. A decent gen, reps, and maybe a healthy helping of GOO to get started with is perfect! No need to send them your rarest/lowest gen buddies. Also feel free to send your worst buddies as well, since we have built in tier filters to make sure new users don’t receive those (I’m not sure what we will use for T3 yet, but I’m sure as a community we can come up with some creative ideas hehe).

To send a buddy, simply visit your buddy’s OpenSea page and click the gift box near the top right.

WARNING: Though I have tested extensively, the Buddy Master’s contract is still in BETA. This means things can go wrong (like buddies sent to the contract getting stuck there or stolen)! Please keep the risks in mind.

Conclusion

I will be grinding out some buddies with the MB team to help our effort in filling up the Buddy Masters smart contract. Everyone can send as many buddies as they like; there is no maximum. Please help us to energize and mobilize the rest of the community as well!

General Update

Changing gears a bit, I know many of you have been asking for a roadmap update. My lips have been sealed for the moment, but based on stuff that is kind of already public I’m going to sneak this in here:

• UI/UX overhaul
• In-game marketplace
• Improved user onboarding
• Loads of feature upgrades
• & strategic expansion of the MicroBuddies IP ;)

^ and that is NOT a complete list!

I want to remind everyone that we are focused on the long term. Our priority is adding value to the MicroBuddies ecosystem and rewarding our long term holders, and I believe through persistence we will find success. For the short term, please join us in filling up the Buddy Master’s contract so that we can create fruitful collaborations using our game’s unique quality of having near endless buddies for players to enter the game with!
